The Kupol Collection represents the untold story of one of North Americas most fascinating cultural phenomenons. A 250 year account of Alaska's history captured in the paintings of one artist who labored for over 10 years to bring this story to life.
Geanina Cantemir's iconic work with the Russian Orthodox Churches in Alaska has taken her ten years of heart felt devotion to complete. With the works portrayed in 110 paintings, she has created the most complete and unique visual record of one of the most significant parts of the native Alaskan culture.
This is the largest art collection ever sold in the United States by a solo artist. As with many artists, she enjoys creating in more than one media, but oil painting is her passion.
Her work has been showcased in numerous galleries and exhibits around the world. This collection is owned by Natives of Kodiak, an Alaskan Native Organization.
