Natives of Kodiak, Inc. is committed
to providing the highest level of services to its shareholders.
Following is a listing of programs and benefits that are available
to NOK shareholders. Shareholders are also encouraged to contact
us at any time with questions or comments.
The NOK Shareholder Permanent
Fund Trust
In September of 2002, NOK shareholders overwhelmingly approved
creation of the NOK Shareholder Permanent Fund Trust, which was
subsequently funded with assets from the NOK Shareholders Fund.
The NOK Shareholder Permanent Fund Trust currently pays quarterly
distributions to Trust beneficiaries in March, June, September
and November of each year. All NOK shareholders at the time of
Trust inception automatically became beneficiaries of the NOK
Permanent Fund Trust.

NOK Scholarships
If you are a NOK shareholder, direct lineal
descendant of a shareholder, or legally adopted child of
a shareholder and are interested in applying for an academic
scholarship, please contact the NOK office or download a
copy of the scholarship application
(PDF) here.
Completed scholarship applications must
be postmarked on or before April 20, 2012 in order to be
accepted for review by the Scholarship Committee.

Shareholder Employment Opportunities
NOK is committed to employment opportunities for its shareholders.
Employment opportunities under NOK subsidiary company contracts at Kodiak's
US Coast Guard Base and elsewhere are available to NOK shareholders,
descendants or dependents. Additional employment opportunities may become
available in the future. Shareholders, descendants and dependents are
encouraged to submit a resume or letter of interest to the NOK office with
their skills and qualifications to be considered for employment by NOK
subsidiaries and/or contractors. Please contact the NOK office for a list of
potential positions with job descriptions.
Alaska Air National Guard Opportunities
In 2009 NOK subsidiary, KOMAN, Inc., reached a partnership agreement with the 176th Civil Engineer Squadron of the Alaska Air National Guard. Through this agreement, NOK shareholders and their descendants desiring technical career training are encouraged to join the Alaska Air National Guard. Those shareholders and descendants meeting eligibility requirements, who decide to enlist, will be provided with pay commensurate to military rank for all duty performed, technical training, paid travel to Anchorage or other locations for training, tuition assistance as available, free hunting and fishing licenses, Commissary and Base Exchange use and any other benefits allowed to Guardsmen.
In addition, upon completion of military-provided technical training, KOMAN will make best efforts to place those it referred, to the Alaska Air National Guard, into civilian jobs at KOMAN job sites.
Training opportunities are available in the following career fields: Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Power Production, Structural, Equipment Operation, Utilities, Liquid Fuels and Environmental, Fire Protection and Readiness.

Coast Hotels Discount
Program
As
a direct benefit of NOK's ownership in the downtown Portland,
Oregon's Paramount Hotel, NOK shareholders are entitled to receive
a Preferred Corporate Rate at any participating Coast Hotel on
a space available basis. For more information on this program,
please contact the NOK office.
NOK
shareholders and their accompanying family members receive no
cost admission to Kodiak's Alutiiq Museum upon presentation of
their NOK Shareholder I.D. Card. Please contact the NOK office
if you do not have a Shareholder I.D. card and one will be issued
to you. |
